As the end of the second UK lockdown came to an end the demand for digital access to NHS services was at an all time high. Our squad was part of the team developing NHS login - the authentication service for the NHS app. We were working on flows to integrate 3rd party verification software that would allow us to verify our users.

We integrated full verification capabilities allowing verified users to access their most sensitive information through the app, at a time when many did not want to make in person GP visits. As of November 2024 we have over 5.4 million sign ins per week at a 96.5% login success rate. Of the 58 million NHS login accounts over 26 million are fully verified using our squads verification flows.
